The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is poised to formally introduce its recently acquired T-129 ATAK helicopters and King Air 360i aircraft during an induction ceremony scheduled for February 6, 2024.
The event will take place at the NAF Base in Makurdi, Benue State.
According to Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the induction ceremony would be presided over by the Special Guest of Honour, the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Representing the President at the ceremony will be Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON.
The induction of these new assets marks a significant enhancement to Nigeria’s national defense capabilities.
The T-129 ATAK helicopters and King Air 360i aircraft are expected to bolster NAF’s firepower as it collaborates with sister services and other security agencies to address the diverse security challenges facing the country.
