The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted precise airstrikes on October 31, targeting significant Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) strongholds in Marte Local Government Area, Borno State.
According to Air Commodore Olusola F. Akinboyewa, Director of Public Relations and Information at the NAF Headquarters, the coordinated strikes targeted the villages of Tumbun Daribiyar, Jubularam, Buluwa, and Tumbu Karfe as part of an intensified campaign against terrorist activities in Northeast Nigeria.
He said the operation resulted in the neutralization of approximately 50 ISWAP fighters, including senior commander Bashir Dauda.
Akinboyewa added that a critical ISWAP supply depot in Jubularam, stocked with essential resources such as beans, millet, and rice, was destroyed, significantly disrupting the group’s logistics.
This operation underscores NAF’s commitment to supporting ground forces and dismantling ISWAP’s infrastructure, contributing to broader efforts to restore stability in the region.
