Life constantly presents every individual with two choices: to live by struggle or to live by faith. Many people rely only on human strength, intelligence, money, connections, or experience, yet God’s Word declares that “the just shall live by faith” (Habakkuk 2:4). Faith is not just a religious word; it is the divine key that unlocks victory, peace, restoration, healing, and breakthrough.
Habakkuk 2:4
“…but the just shall live by his faith.”
From the very beginning, God created man in His image and gave humanity dominion over every other creature (Genesis 1:26–28). Along with this privilege came the power of choice. God never forces His will on anyone. He will not force salvation, success, miracles, or breakthrough on you. Instead, He lovingly gives you the opportunity to choose Him. Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6), showing that every person must decide whether to trust God or depend solely on themselves.
Many people wonder why their lives lack miracles. The answer may be connected to where their trust is placed. Faith can do far more than the human mind can imagine. Faith places a decision before you: will you depend on your strength, or will you depend on God? In (Deuteronomy 10:15–19), God called His people to love Him and walk in His ways. In the same way today, you can choose to live by faith or continue living by endless struggle.
When you choose faith, you engage the power of God. But when you choose only struggle, God allows you to continue in your own strength. He will not force Himself into your situation. You may survive through human effort, but you will carry burdens God never intended you to carry alone. The truth is this: it is easier to succeed through faith than through struggle.
The Bible says, “…for by strength shall no man prevail” (1 Samuel 2:9). Any success achieved purely through human effort can never compare to what God can do through a life surrendered to Him. Human ability has limits, but God has none.
The greatest problem in the life of man is the problem of sin. No injection can cure sin. No educational qualification can conquer sin. No amount of self-discipline alone can completely overcome evil desires. But through faith in Jesus Christ, a sinner can receive forgiveness, cleansing, and transformation. The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us…” (1 John 1:9). Through faith, God gives power to overcome destructive habits, evil thoughts, addiction, hatred, and immorality.
If faith can deliver a person from sin, then what else can faith not do?
Your faith can heal a broken marriage.
Your faith can restore peace in a troubled home.
Your faith can revive your spiritual life.
Your faith can lift your career from stagnation.
Your faith can bring hope where there seems to be none.
Faith remains a personal decision. Nobody can force another person to trust God. You may continue carrying your struggles with your own strength, or you may invite God into your situation. God responds to those who depend on Him wholeheartedly.
A powerful example is seen in King Asa. When a mighty army came against him, he refused to trust only in human strength. Instead, he cried unto God, saying, “Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power…” (2 Chronicles 14:9–11). Asa understood that victory does not come by numbers, wealth, or human power, but by God alone.
Money does not limit God, and lack of money cannot stop His work. During times of difficulty, every person must decide whether to lean on God or lean on themselves. The Bible says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
True faith begins when dependence on God becomes complete. Faith is what pleases God most. Prayer brings you closer to God, but faith moves the hand of God. (Hebrews 11:1–6) declares that “without faith it is impossible to please him.”
Faith does not mean you lack education, wisdom, or ability. Rather, it means that above all these things, your confidence rests in God. Sadly, many people place their faith in money, academics, connections, or human wisdom instead of God. But genuine faith depends totally on Him.
The faith that works is the faith that has no alternative outside God. Many people pray while secretly trusting another source as their real hope. But God desires wholehearted trust. Faith in God is complete surrender.
Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23). No matter what you are facing today, your faith can do more than you imagine. Your faith can open doors no human effort can open. Your faith can lift you above fear, failure, confusion, and limitation.
Whatever battle you are facing today, remember this: your faith is the key. Trust God completely, seek Him sincerely, and refuse to give up. Your faith can accomplish more than your mind can presently understand.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
