“No one engage in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier”, 2Tim.2:3-5.
It is said “when there is a will, there is a way”, this is true but the way to achieve the will is the price that must be paid. Every product or good has its price, the value of a product determines how much must be paid for it. You will joyfully pay an expensive or high price for the item you value or cherish, you will refuse to pay the cheapest price if you do not value the item. That is, your value for an article is seen in how much you are willing to pay for it. In the above scriptural verse, the writer explained that a person who wants to be a successful soldier must shun or disregard civilian issues as a price.
The good question you must ask yourself as you continue the journey of destiny is “what is my value for my destiny, what is the worth of my vision or dream (remember, your vision is a fragment of your destiny assigned to you per time, or the part of your destiny that you have the capacity for per time)? Please, be informed that no one will value your destiny more than you. Kindly picture your dream or goal as a target, a summit or a destination, your promise land. You may need to explore the power of imagination, try to picture how life will look like by the time you finally get to your destination. The exiting picture of your desired success will propel you to be ready to pay the price to get there.
You have what it takes to get to where you are going in life, if only you are willing to pay the price
One beautiful truth about the price of your purpose is that you have the price. Yes, you have what it takes to get there. Your value for your purpose will determine if you will be willing to pay the price.
How David paid the price of kingship 1 Sam 16:1-13
i. He fought for the glory of God. The throne (your dream too) belongs to God, you must live and defend the glory of God before He can help you reach your destination.
ii. He applied wisdom in all his dealings. He who will rule men of different views, opinions and ideology must not be rash. Seek the idea and knowledge required to get to where you are going.
iii. He endured persecutions. He met oppositions, disappointment and betrayal in his journey to his life’s purpose but he endued them all because of his passion for his dream (the throne of Israel).
iv. He waited patiently until God’s promise was fulfilled in his life. It took him years (over fifteen years of waiting) to become the King of Israel.
Dearly beloved, how much are you willing to pay to achieve your desires?
If you pay the right price, life will not deny you your desire
