Man, 20, docked for allegedly stealing motorcycle worth N950,000

A 20-year-old man, Tukur Sani, was on Wednesday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth N950,000.

Sani, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on March 11, at about 2.00 a.m., at Odo-Ona, Ibadan.

He alleged that the defendant and others at large stole a Bajaj motorcycle worth N950,000 and belonging to one Andrew Moses.

He said the offences contravene provisions of Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwaferanmi Raji, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until May 22, for hearing.
