The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the Edo State governorship election, Olumide Akpata, has lost his polling unit to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Asue Ighodalo as the results of the poll started to trickle in from the units.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are locked in a close contest.
The polling units in Oredo Ward saw the APC and the PDP running neck-and-neck while the Labour Party appears to be taking a distant third.
This is the result declared at Akpata’s polling unit.
