The Vice Chancellor(VC), the Pro-Chancellor, and Chairman of the Governing Council of Lagos State University(LASU) on Tuesday, congratulated the new Inspector- General of Police(IG) on his appointment.
The VC, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and the Pro-Chancellor, Mr Babatunde Ogala, made this known in a statement on the school’s social media, on Tuesday.
“Ogala and Olatunji-Bello wrote, “The governing council, management, staff, students, and alumni of the university, warmly congratulate a distinguished alumnus, Mr Tunji Disu
“We congratulate Disu on his appointment as the Acting IGP of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
” Disu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education, as well as Master’s degrees in Public Administration and in Criminology, Security, and Legal Psychology from LASU.
*The appointment, which was announced by the presidency on Feb. 24, was well deserved and meritorious,”the statement said.
It also said that it is a powerful testament to Disu’s integrity, professional competence, and decades of disciplined and patriotic service to Nigeria.
“Disu represents the very best of LASU, resilient, intellectually grounded, and committed to transformational leadership.
“His elevation to the highest office in the Nigeria Police Force reinforces the university’s standing as a breeding ground for leaders who shape institutions and drive national progress.
“We are confident, that the Acting IGP would deploy his intellectual depth, vast operational experience, and strategic insight to strengthen reforms, deepen public trust, and enhance service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.
“As he assumes leadership at a pivotal moment for national security, the university community celebrates this milestone achievement and wishes him great wisdom, courage, and success in office,”it said.
