LASG inaugurates dual carriage flyover at Pen Cinema in Agege

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has inaugurated a dual carriage flyover at Pen Cinema in Agege area of the State.

Sanwo-Olu stated that the government after identifying the road as one of the major connecting point in the state saw the challenges faced by commuters on the road and therefore intervened by constructing the flyover.

According to him, the flyover would help reduce the time spent on the road, bringing about economical and social development.

He explained how the construction of the bridge has brought about employment opportunities for engineers, artisans, unskilled labourers, food vendors and many others across the state.

He promised to do more by expanding the road linking Agege to Fagba, adding that his administration is committed to bring comfort to Lagosians.

Sanwo-Olu while emphasizing that the newly-constructed dual carriageway and roads were for the people, urged them to keep all public assets for their use and economic upliftment.

The former governor of the state and National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu, speaking on the occasion, urged residents especially youths not to join vagabonds in destroying public property, adding that this would affect development in the state and country at large.

The Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa who hails from the area, at the event, stated that he saw the pains residents go through in the area and therefore moved the motion which birthed the day’s celebration.

The highpoint of the event also had the renaming of Old Ipaja road as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road and Old Dopemu road as Babajide Sanwo-Olu road
