Kwara State Government has announced the Deputy Governor and Chairman if the State Technical Committee on COVID-19 Kayode Alabi and his wife, Mrs Abieyuwa Alabi, has test positive COVID-19
In a statement Rafiu Ajakaye Chief Press Secretary to the Governor who also the Spokesman, Kwara State Technical Committee on COVID-19 said the deputy governor and his wife underwent COVID-19 test after they showed slight symptoms of the virus and their results came out positive
Ajakaye added that deputy governor and his wife are very stable and in high spirit, and are now undergoing standard management protocols supervised by the government’s medical team.
He further stated that immediate contact tracing and tests, among other safety protocols, are being done for persons who have met with the couple in the past few days.
He said the sate government wishes the second couple and all others quick recovery.
