Following incidents of violent attacks and security breaches in some parts of Jema’a and Kaura LGAs, the Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew in both local government areas.
In a statement the state Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said the curfew takes effect immediately.
He urged citizens to remain calm and avoid any actions which could lead to a breakdown of law and order. Security operations are ongoing in the general area.
Aruwan said further updates on the situation will be communicated accordingly.
