President Muhammadu Buhari has given his approval for the appointment of Dr Nasirdeen Olaitan Raji-Mustapha as the new Director General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC) in Abuja, effective from 18 May 2023.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige, during a management meeting on Thursday.

Dr Musa Nasirdeen O. Raji has been confirmed as the successor to Dr Kashim Akor, who has served his two terms of eight years by 18th May, 2023.

Dr Raji is an indigene of Kwara state and hails from Offa in Oyun local government area of the state.

He rose through the ranks to his current new status and has been the Director of Procurement for several years prior to his elevation.

The National Productivity Centre is a government agency responsible for promoting productivity, competitiveness, and sustainable development in Nigeria.

As the new Director General, Dr Raji will be expected to provide leadership for the centre and drive its strategic objectives.

He will also be responsible for ensuring that the centre remains at the forefront of efforts to promote productivity and competitiveness in Nigeria.

With his vast experience in procurement and management, Dr Raji is well-equipped to lead the National Productivity Centre towards achieving its goals.

His appointment has been welcomed by stakeholders in the productivity sector, who have expressed confidence in his ability to steer the centre towards greater heights.
