Anthony Joshua on Saturday night beat America’s Jermaine Franklin. The fight took place at the 02 Arena in London.
The fight went full distance as Joshua won the most important fight of his career. It was his first victory since losing to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk on 25 September 2021.
He also lost the rematch on 20 August 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
But on Saturday night, he won by unanimous decision as the three judges scored the fight 118-111, 117-111, 117-111 in his favour.
There were ugly scenes at the end as corners and fighters clashed momentarily and security stepped in.
