
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has reassured the federal government and the Nigerian public that the completed Sections 1 and 2 of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway were constructed with internationally recognized diligence and best practices.
Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, the Executive Director of Administration at Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, delivered this assurance during the project inauguration ceremony.
Bayi, who attended the ceremony on behalf of the company’s Managing Director, apologized for his absence due to prior commitments at the 2nd River Niger Bridge ceremony with the President.

He conveyed the Managing Director’s regrets for not being present and extended sincere congratulations to the President, the people of Nigeria, and especially the commuters who will benefit from this important road.
Bayi emphasized the need for proper maintenance of this crucial infrastructure and expressed humility in announcing that the road was executed according to international standards, reflecting the engineering construction excellence of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
He expressed the hope that road management and maintenance agencies would prioritize maintenance to maximize the benefits of the government’s investment in the project.
Highlighting the company’s commitment to safety, jBayi proudly announced that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc achieved a remarkable safety record of 2.8 accidents per 1 million man-hours during the construction of this engineering masterpiece.

Bayi, on behalf of the Board of Directors, the Executive Management, and the entire staff of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, expressed deep gratitude to the Federal Government for entrusting them with this important project.

He also wished the motoring public and surrounding communities safety as they begin using the newly constructed highway, urging them to observe all safety procedures.
During the ceremony, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State expressed his satisfaction with the road’s quality and acknowledged the significant improvement it brought to the Kano-Zaria axis.

He praised Julius Berger Nigeria Plc for their outstanding engineering work and thanked President Buhari for the infrastructure development brought to Kano State.
The former Minister of State for Works and Housing, Hon. Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub, emphasized the road’s immense benefits and its role in connecting different parts of the country.
He highlighted the innovative financing approach through the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) and commended President Buhari and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc for their commitment to delivering on promises.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari, who joined the inauguration ceremony remotely, expressed optimism that the road would alleviate the long-standing challenges faced by the communities.
He emphasized that the infrastructure projects symbolized his administration’s commitment to renewing Nigeria’s infrastructure and promoting prosperity for its citizens.
The Julius Berger delegation, led by Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, included several officials representing different roles in the company’s project team.
