The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has raised the alarm over a well-ochestrated smear campaign against the Board and its officials.
The Board, in its latest weekly bulletin, called the attention of the public to the campaign, which its said was being sponsored by some disgruntled individuals whose unwholesome interests were being affected by spate of current reforms by JAMB, which had successfully blocked their sources of illicit gains.
According to the bulletin, the individuals, in order to achieve their nefarious agenda, were using an unstable and shadowy character to launch calculated and vicious attack against the Board.
In order to carry out their acts, those behind it, the Board further stated had concocted some false and totally baseless allegations for which they had contracted an unregistred and faceless NGGO to be circulating to various agencies, especially the ICPC, media outlets and bloggers across the country.
“While we urge the ICPC to instigate the malicious allegations and make its findings public, we also advise the media and members of the public to beware of the shenanigans of these merchants of falsehood, who are hell-bent on tarnishing the hard-earned and positive image of the Board and its leadership,” JAMB stated in its bulletin.
The Board promised that its management, would continue to manage the affairs of the organisation with utmost transparency and in line with international best practices regardless of the array of dark and powerful. forces working round the clock to pull it down. (Newspot)
