• Nominates DIG DFA as forum’s focal person with police leadership
The Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun on Tuesday (18th July, 2023), received the esteemed members of the Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria (ARPON) at the Force Headquarters, Abuja led by its 1st Vice President, AIG Paul O. Ochonu (Retd), NPM, and 2nd Vice President, CP Samuel Adetunji, Retd.
According to CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the meeting was held with members of ARPON under the Retired Officers Consultative Forum.
The gathering showcased the IGP’s dedication to establishing a strong bond with retired officers and utilizing their wealth of experience to fulfil the Nigeria Police Force’s objectives.
During the meeting, the IGP expressed his appreciation for the invaluable insights shared by the retired officers and promised to work closely with them to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the NPF.
In order to streamline communication, the IGP appointed the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) as the focal officer responsible for addressing issues that require the Force’s attention.
This appointment ensures a dedicated point of contact for ARPON, enabling prompt resolution of matters that are of mutual concern.
The Inspector-General of Police remains resolute in his commitment to transform the Nigeria Police Force and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
