IDF donates borehole to community

In order to collaborate with Osun State Government in eradicating epidemics in the state, the Ipetumodu Development Forum, IDF, has donated a borehole to Abebi area of Oke-Ola in Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government area of the state, charging residents of the area to maintain it judiciously for their own benefit.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Saturday was the forum Vice-Chairman, Barr. Banji Akinloye who represented the forum Chairman, Elder Taiwo Oyetade.

Barr Akinloye who led other members of the IDF to the inauguration ceremony charged residents of Abebi area to ensure that the borehole project was well maintained as expected so that it would serve them for a long time.

The IDF Vice Chairman stressed the importance of the borehole project to the beneficiary community, noting that water was one of the most important God-given natural resources.

Barr. Akinloye who was highly elated at the inauguration ceremony reiterated the IDF’s efforts towards the betterment and uplift of the entire Ipetumodu community, saying the Forum would not relent.

He however appreciated all members of the IDF home and abroad for their unflinching support and cooperation in turning around the fortunes of the ancient Ipetumodu community.

While responding, the representative of the beneficiary community, Prince Claudius Oyetunde commended the IDF and expressed gratitude for the kind gesture.

According to Prince Oyetunde, “we thank the entire IDF home and in the Diaspora for this timely gesture; it is highly appreciated; I pray that God will continue to grant you the zeal to keep doing more to the entire community.”

Prince Oyetunde however assured the IDF that the borehole facility would be used judiciously for the purpose it’s meant for to the benefit of all the residents.

Other IDF members in attendance during the colourful and well attended ceremony were Mr Anthony Adetoro, Mr Taye Babalola, Arc Sunday Babasanya, Mrs Moronkola Adedeji, Pastor Isaac Adewuni, Mr Ibraheem Lateef, and the IDF General Secretary, Mr Oyetunmbi Kehinde.
