Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the late Igbo leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, on Friday commemorated her 27th year marriage anniversary with an emotional letter to her late husband.
In a Facebook post which she entitled, “A Beautiful Anniversary! (12 November 1994),” Bianca stated that she could still feel her husband’s love.
She also hailed her husband in Igbo language, “Nnam ukwu, Dike di ora mma!” transliterated as “My big father, the mighty warrior.”
Sharing a throwback photo of their wedding day, Bianca wrote: “Though sunward you climbed, to touch the face of God. Your love continues to transcend time and space;
“It reaches me from the stars; I feel it from the Heavens. Nothing is past, Nothing is lost.
“One brief moment, and it will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the pain of parting when we meet again! Happy Anniversary, My Dearest!”
This was coming a week after she wrote an emotional letter to her late husband on the occasion of his birthday.
She took to her Facebook page on November 4 to write an open letter to her husband, asking to intervene in the affairs of the Anambra governorship election.
Her husband, Ojukwu, was the founding patron of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, which finally emerged victorious in the election.
As she congratulated the governor-elect, Chukwuma Soludo, Bianca also thanked the people of Anambra for standing with her husband’s legacy.
