Akeem Hammed, a 65-year-old, a security guard was on Monday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing stole 25 litres of diesel.
Hammed, who works at Balley Hotel Oni and Son’s Ring-Road, Ibadan is charged with theft.
He pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Femi Omilana, said the defendant committed the offence on May 10, at about 8 p.m
Omilana alleged that the defendant also stole laptop, power Bank, iPhone charger, Bluetooth connection and stapler all worth N471,000 and belonging to the hotel.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 9, for hearing.
