Hackers have reportedly breached the mobile phones of billionaire friends Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola.

According to reports from The Cable, both men had their devices compromised within the past week.

THE CONCLAVE further reports that the MTN number of Energy analyst and investment expert, Mr Dan D. Kunle, who is a friend to both Dangote and Otedola, was also breached.

THE CONCLAVE publisher, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo, received a message from Mr Kunle’s MTN no via WhatsApp last Saturday which raised a spectre of suspicion that his phone might have been hacked into.

Whereas, the publisher could not reach Mr Kunle for confirmation as the hacker refused to pick the calls, Mr Kunle on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 was able to reach the publisher through another number to confirm that his MTN line had been hacked.

As of the time of going to press on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, he had yet to recover his telephone line from the hacker.

While Femi Otedola’s phone was allegedly hacked once, Aliko Dangote’s device was said to have been infiltrated twice in just two days, raising concerns about the motive behind the multiple attacks.

It remains uncertain whether the two business moguls have fully regained control of their phones.

However, it was disclosed that the hackers immediately made financial demands using the phones.

Dangote and Otedola, known for their decades-long friendship and publicly calling each other “brother,” have collaborated on several business fronts over the years.

Otedola was recently seen at an event where Dangote announced his refinery’s ambitious plan to expand its production capacity from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million.

Otedola, who authored the bestselling book Making It Big, has also been active in the financial markets. Just days ago, he increased his stake in First HoldCo Plc with the acquisition of 64.87 million shares valued at N2.01 billion.
