Gunmen have invaded the peaceful Mashafa area of Mpape, located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A report by Naijablitznews said that the operation, which unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, resulted in the abduction of at least four residents.
The entire incident reportedly lasted approximately one hour.
According to witnesses, the assailants specifically targeted certain individuals in the area.
Accounts by a resident named Zack showed that the gunmen methodically infiltrated the victims’ homes, forcibly taking them away.
“They arrived in the early hours around 1:00 am, heavily armed with sophisticated weapons. The reverberation of their gunshots filled the air, echoing through the night for about an hour,” Zack recounted.
“The selection of their victims indicated a premeditated plan. They meticulously entered each house to seize their targets. Among the abducted are an Executive Officer of a prominent logistics company, a manager of a renowned bakery, another individual managing an Oil dump company, and the last one is employed by a well-known construction company.”
FCT spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, was contacted and reportedly said that further details regarding the incident would be provided in due course.
