Staff members’ quarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, at the Kaduna Airport, were attacked by gunmen who abducted some families’ members in the wee hours of Saturday.
Locals near the airport said the men who invaded the quarters were armed with dangerous weapons.
They reportedly moved their victims away.
According to reports, “It has yet to be clear how they gained access into the quarters, but some staff members of FAAN living in the quarters who managed to escape said some staff members with their families have been taken away by the armed men.”
However, the number of persons abducted could not be ascertained as of the time of confidential briefing by a witness.
However, other sundry sources claimed about 11 persons were abducted.
According to a report, two houses were said to have been attacked inside the quarters and they later moved to the airside of the airport.
A local described the situation as bad and called for prayers from all Nigerians for the safety of those abducted.
Official reactions had yet to be released as of the time of publishing this report.
