The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has confirmed receipt of a petition against Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Edo State Governor, Dr. Joan Oviawe, Commissioner for Education and Mrs Salami Ozavize, Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board. Salami.
According to the documents sent to THE CONCLAVE, the petitioner- ‘Empowerment for Unemployed Youth Initiative’ – alleged diversion of a $75 million Wotld Bank facility and another N129.1 billion which the government allegedly diverted.
The petition and accompanying documents were reportedly received on October 31, 2023 and their receipts were confirmed via a letter.
The letter acknowledging receipts of the documents reads: “This is to certify that the petition with the following details was received by the commission on this day, Tuesday 31st, October, 202 at 12:35 pm.”
