A group, Voice for Reason, has called for equity, fairness, and justice in Kogi State, highlighting the perceived marginalisation of Kogi West Senatorial District.

The group argues that despite the district’s significant contributions to the state’s development and the country at large, it has been neglected in terms of political representation and resource allocation.

The group points out that Kogi East has held the position of governor for 16 years, while Kogi Central has had 8 years, with the current administration set to complete 12 years by the end of its term.

Meanwhile, Kogi West has been left out, sparking concerns about equity and fairness.

As the 2027 elections approach, the group is urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to support a Kogi West candidate for the position of governor.

The group argues that this would be a crucial step towards promoting unity, harmony, and development in the state.

The group emphasises that a state built on equity, fairness, and justice is bound to achieve tremendous growth and success.

The group believes that giving Kogi West a turn in office would be a breath of fresh air and a relief for the people of the state.
