Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has dissolved all the State’s 17 Local Government Area Chairmen, their Deputies and Councillors have been dissolved.
Ikpeazu, who approved the dissolution, directed the former Council bosses to immediately hand over to the Head of Service in their respective LGAs.
The directive was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem.
According to the statement, the dissolution was sequel to the expiration of their tenure.
They were elected into office in 2020 for a two-year term.
Ikpeazu, thanked the ex- Council officials for their services while wishing them well in their future endeavours.
