An ultra-modern shopping mall has been inaugurated in Owo, Ondo State, by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The inauguration took place penultimate Saturday.
The governor was represented on the occasion by the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Dele Ologun.
The mall was built by the Okpeseyi family in honour of the memory of their matriarch, Madam Eunice Aladejobi Okpeseyi, the Arogwa and pioneer Iyaloja of Oja Ojomo (Ojomo’s Market) in Ijebu-Owo, who died in 2014.
The mall was donated to fish sellers at the Ojomo Market in Owo in fulfilment of the desire of their mother who was a big-time fish seller and ran one of the most patronised and successful cold rooms in the ancient town.
Spokesperson of the family, Mr Olatunbosun Okpeseyi, commended the life and times of their mother, especially her virtue of selflessness and care for both the significant others and those that crossed her path.
