Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has appointed former Attorney General of the state, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
During the inauguration on Friday, Sule tasked the newly appointed SSG to be prudent and accountable in the management of government resources, among other positive conducts.
“I urge you to be of excellent conduct, imbibe the principle of accountability, transparency and prudent management of public resources in the cause of discharging your official responsibility,” he said.
Sule called on the SSG to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his responsibility.
Sule said that his administration eschewed corruption in all its ramifications and that available resources must be channeled to the execution of government policies and programmes for the economic development of the state.
Governor Sule has, in the meantime, sacked all his political appointees, including Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Personal Assistants, among others.
The governor equally appointed Commodore Yahaya Owuna (retd.) as the sole administrator of Udege development area, with the aim of addressing communal clashes between the two chiefdoms in Afo speaking communities as well as assist the government in coming up with lasting solutions.
