Gov Oyetola has done well for Osun people, says LG boss

Chairman, Oriade Local Government area of Osun State, Hon. Olubunmi Ezekiel Obeisun, has spoken on glowing terms about the
efforts of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in transforming the state.

Hon Obeisun spoke with journalists shortly after receiving some members of the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, who have defected to the governing All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ijebu-Ijesa in Oriade local government.

The Oriade local council boss, who was highly elated to receive the new members, said the good work of Governor Oyetola in turning around the fortunes of the state would further attract more members into the APC.

While welcoming the new members, Hon Obeisun enjoined them to be up and doing by always pursuing the development of the party.

According to him: “I want you all to start working assiduously towards the re-election of our amiable Governor Gboyega Oyetola; start mobilising people around you to that effect and your efforts will not be in vain.

“Governor Oyetola has been working round the clock in creating conducive environment for the people of the state through his people-oriented programmes on Education, Agriculture, Free Health Care Services, Welfare of the citizens, road network and empowerment among others that qualify him for another term so that he can complete the good job having for the betterment of all and sundry.”

Similarly, Hon Obeisun urged all members of the APC in his local government area to troop out en-masse for the party’s membership registration and revalidation of register while calling on the new members to also partake in the exercise.

Some of the PDP members, who joined the APC in the council area, included Bayo Olatunde, aka Ogboro, PDP organising secretary, Tunde Fatoke, Ojo Omilegbe, Oladunmoye Bayo, and Ande Ibekwe, among others.

While speaking on why they were joining the APC, the former PDP members said they had become tired of the PDP that “has enslaved them for long,” adding they had benefitted anything from the party.

They said they could see the good work of Governor Oyetola for the betterment of the citizens of the State and they wanted to be part of the good work.

“The Chairman, Oriade local government, Hon Obeisun is also following Governor Oyetola’s footsteps as he is also doing a good job since he assumed the office.

“Hon Obeisun has done well for the entire people of Oriade local government, he has transformed the area as well, all these good work motivates us for us to join the APC,” the former PDP members stated.
