Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, looks good to securing the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to run for a second term in office.
His chances brightened on Monday with the reported endorsement of his bid by the powerful Lagos Governance Advisory Council (GAC).
GAC denied Sanwo-Olu’s predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode, of such signifucant endorsement.
According to Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, the governor was also given pass mark for being faithful to the developmental agenda of Lagos.
The nod was said to have been given at a meeting in Lagos on Monday.
Akosile tweeted, “Breaking news: Lagos GAC gives nod to Governor @jidesanwoolu’s second term bid. The Governance Advisory Council at a meeting in Lagos today gave pass mark to Sanwo-Olu for staying through to the developmental agenda of Lagos. Congratulations dear boss!”
