The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has called for greater transparency, accountability and collaboration in the implementation of constituency and intervention projects across the country.
She made the call on Tuesday in Abuja during the unveiling of a compendium titled “Actualising President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through Implementation of Zonal Intervention/Constituency Projects.”
The programme was organised by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs to showcase intervention projects and strengthen accountability mechanisms in public service delivery nationwide.
Represented by the Wife of the Vice-President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, the first lady described the event as a significant milestone in promoting transparency and effective project implementation.
According to her, the initiative reflects shared commitment to ensuring public resources are utilised efficiently and directed towards improving the lives of citizens across communities nationwide.

She said “intervention projects are vital in bridging the gap between government and the people. They ensure development remains visible, accessible and responsive to the needs of our communities.”
Tinubu said her experience as a former senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District reinforced her belief in constituency-based development initiatives tailored to address the needs of constituents.
She noted that properly implemented constituency projects remained effective tools for delivering development, improving living conditions and promoting inclusive growth at the grassroots nationwide.
“My experience in the legislature further reinforces my belief in the importance of constituency-based development initiatives that are properly aligned with the needs of the people,” she said.
The First Lady said the compendium reflected policy implementation, institutional collaboration and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu across sectors and regions nationwide.
According to her, the publication captures ongoing efforts by government institutions to translate policies and programmes into measurable outcomes that positively impact the lives of Nigerians.
She added that “the compendium being unveiled today is a reflection of policy implementation, institutional collaboration and the Renewed Hope Agenda. It captures efforts to translate vision into measurable outcomes.”
Tinubu commended the ministry for documenting intervention projects being implemented in communities across the country, describing the initiative as important for transparency and public accountability.
She said the publication would serve as valuable reference point for tracking project impact, strengthening oversight mechanisms and promoting good governance in public service delivery.
She also applauded the ministry for deploying a digital application to track, monitor and evaluate intervention and constituency projects in real time nationwide.
“I applaud the ministry for its innovative approach in deploying an application that tracks, monitors and evaluates intervention and constituency projects in real time,” she said.
Tinubu urged legislators, development partners and implementing agencies to strengthen collaboration, ensure compliance with due process and promote transparency in project execution.
She urged stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of accountability and diligence to ensure constituency projects achieved the intended objectives and benefits.
She expressed confidence that the initiative would contribute to improved service delivery and strengthen governance structures and sustainable national development across the country.
