The FBI confirmed it was conducting “authorised activity in the area” to CBS, the BBC’s US news partner, without giving further details
The search is related to an investigation over classified documents, CBS reports
Trump has previously accused Bolton of misusing classified information in his 2020 book, which was highly critical of his first presidency
Bolton has not commented on the search and no criminal charges have been filed, a source tells CBS.
