Transcorp Hilton Abuja has dismissed reports of a water shortage at its facility, saying the disruption lasted only one day and was caused by emergency maintenance by the FCT Water Board.
In a statement on Friday, the hotel management said the temporary outage occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, but contingency measures ensured guests were not affected.
“There was a one-day disruption in water supply resulting from emergency maintenance works,” the statement read. “Management promptly implemented contingency measures to maintain guest comfort and continued service throughout the period.”
The hotel described social media claims of a prolonged water crisis as “false and misleading.”
General Manager Martin Zarybnicky confirmed that full water supply was restored on Wednesday, April 15, and has remained stable since.
“Contrary to these reports, water supply was fully restored on April 15, and the hotel has since maintained consistent and uninterrupted supply while operating at full capacity,” Zarybnicky said.
The management thanked guests and stakeholders for their understanding and reaffirmed its commitment to high standards of hospitality and service delivery.
