Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, the PDP candidate in the 2016 governorship election in Ondo State, has today signified his intention to contest for the 2020 governorship election scheduled to hold on October 10.
Jegede, a former Attorney General of Ondo State, is the leading aspirant in the PDP, and is widely expected to clinch the ticket to fly the flag of the party again in the October election.
Declaring his interest in Akure on Sunday, Jegede said: “Today, Sunday the 31st day of May 2020 in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ, we commenced a journey that is ordered by God. I announced my interest and readiness to take over the leadership of our dear State, Ondo State, to the Glory of God and for the benefit of our people. Ondo State is destined for greatness, the Sun will shine again”
