A former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, has lost his return bid to the Senate.

The LP candidate polled 69, 136 to beat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 48, 701 votes.

He lost his seat to the Labour Party candidate, Barrister Kelvin Chukwu, the youngest brother of the disintegration Barrister Oyibo Chukwu who originally owned the LP ticket.

Kelvin replaced his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was murdered a few days to the Feb. 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
