Employee in court for allegedly stealing employer’s N930,000

Three men Arraigned in Lagos over alleged N11.4m Toyota Camry scam

A 41-year-old man, Tunde Lakinsoku, on Thursday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing his employer’s N930,000.

Lakinsoku, whose address was not stated, is standing trial on a one-count change of stealing.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 15, at about 2 p.m. at Akala Express, Ibadan.

Adegbite alleged that the defendant stole the sum of N930,000 belonging to a complainant one Omobola Abiodun.

He said that the defendant was caught and handed over to the police.

The offence contravenes the provisions of section 390(9) of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until July 22, for mention.
