Publisher of a general purpose online news magazine (veracitydesk.com.ng), Emmanuel Ajibulu has described one of the icons of journalism, Sufuyan Ojeifo, as “one of the most celebrated journalists in Nigeria and Africa.”
Ojeifo who is the publisher of The Conclave, an online news medium celebrated his birthday anniversary on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 amid friends, family members colleagues, mentees, and associates, and protégés.
Pouring encomiums on the erudite journalist, in a statement Ajibulu personally signed on Tuesday, he took time to applaud the renowned journalist for his exemplary virtues.
“For all you have done to advance the practice of journalism in Nigeria, I celebrate you very specially and may your joy remain boundless.
“Permit me to also describe “OJ Wonder” as he is fondly called by his admirers as internal relations figure who made the job of press relations and media promotions very easy for a lot of blue chip companies, corporate organisations and high profile politicians; he is an inspiration to a lot of us who are his mentees.
“He has overtimes used his expertise and connections within the media space to facilitate favourable publishing of news releases, articles and features in various competitive and reputable media platforms.
“The celebrant today is journalistically responsible, professionally responsive and ethically balanced in his judgement. No wonder, he is held in high esteem by editors, professional colleagues, top politicians and captains of industries, etc.
“My story in the journey of journalism is incomplete without him. He is indeed a man with a heart of gold; no wonder everything he has touched is successful! It’s no doubt because of his strong morals and excellent character.
“For as long as I know him, he is a man without a fault; he mentored me and still care for me. It’s amazing that the older he became the younger he looks. I know is the grace of God. Inspite of his journey so far in life, he never makes complaints.
“This iconic public intellectual and Edo state’s gift to the journalism world has taken the state and Nigeria to the podium of glory through the pen,” Ajibulu noted.
He added: “Your huge contributions in advocating on the issues and ideals of good governance, and your abiding love for your dear state are great assets tbat can never diminish.
