Emir of Lafia, Sidi Bage, has highly recommended a frontline presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, for Nigeria’s presidency in 2023.

Bage, a retired Justice of the Supreme Court, said Anyim, a former Senate president and one-time Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, was well capacitated to solve the litany of problems confronting the country.

Justice Bage expressed his position about Anyim on Thursday in Abuja at the Awards/Honours and Symposium organized by The Nigerian News to mark the 5th anniversary of the media outfit.

Bage said after listening to the former President of the Senate’s speech at an event in Lagos recently, he was convinced that Anyim could fix the nation’s problems.

Bage said Anyim was Nigeria’s equivalent of Nostradamus who had seen and understood where Nigeria should be in the future.

Read him: “Anyim knows what Nigeria should be today and tomorrow. Let all Nigerians read that speech.

“He (Anyim) made me believe that we still have leaders into whose hands we can entrust Nigeria.”

In his goodwill message, Anyim lamented that Nigeria was operating like a nation without dreams.

He tasked those in leadership positions or those jostling for leadership to do everything possible to regenerate the Nigerian dream as well as the consciousness to drive the dream.

Anyim assured Nigerians that he would not disappoint them if they would entrust him with the responsibility to serve the nation.

Publisher of the Nigerian News, Mr Philip Agbese said the awardees were selected based on track record of performance and service.
