Sans force majeure or major security threats or any other glitches, elections will not hold in a total 240 polling units.
This was confirmed on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, less than 12 days to the crucial presidential and national assembly polls that hold on Saturday, February 25.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, stated this at a meeting with leaders of political parties on Monday.
The reason, according to Professor Yakubu, was that nobody chose or registered to vote in the affected polling units.
Recall that there are 176,846 polling units scattered across the country for the purposes of the forthcoming general elections.
