Deacon Efosa Idugboe, a prominent leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oredo Local Government, has announced his resignation from the party.
Idugboe, who previously served as Special Adviser on Community Relations and Special Duties to the Governor, cited severe internal issues as the reasons for his departure.
In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Oredo Local Government, Idugboe expressed his disillusionment with the party’s trajectory since 2020.
He criticized the current leadership for undermining due process and prioritizing political expediency over the party’s foundational principles.
Idugboe lamented the lack of capacity building and development, highlighting the administration’s failure to achieve significant progress.
Describing the state of the PDP in Edo as one plagued by “odium and ignominy,” Idugboe condemned the party’s recent activities as detrimental to the will of its long-standing members.
He thanked his colleagues for their support over the years, despite his profound disappointment with the party’s current direction.
