A video clip of Senator Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which is doing the rounds in the social media, is believed to have prepared the ground for all manner malpractices that characterised Saturday”s presidential poll in Lagos.
The malpractices included open voter intimidation, ballot box snatching, gun-toting, and shootings to scare away political opponents and disrupt voting and vote counting, among others.
In the video in which Tinubu was captured addressing his supporters, he clearly said that to realise the presidential project required being determined.
He said that power was not served a la carte, adding that “you must fight for it, at all cost, grab it, snatch it, run with it.”
As he rounded off his speech, his supporters clapped as some of them began to hail him: “Jagaban! Jagaban! Jagaban!”
