Department of State Services (DSS) has reacted to its arrest of suspended governof of the ebtral Bank of Nigeria (CBN), My Godwin Emefiele, saying he is not in its custody.
THE CONCLAVE had reported some unconfirmed reports of the purported arrest of the CBN chief shortly his suspension by President Bola Tinubu.
Many other news organs had reported conclusively that Emefiele had been then in by the DSS into its custody.
But the DSS said on Saturday that Emefiele was not in its custody.
The Spokesperson for the DSS Dr Peter Afunanya, was quoted on the issue by Vanguard newspaper to have made the clarifications in response to a e-mai
Afunanya, while responding to claims that the CBN Governor had been arrested by the secret police said: “Currently, Emefiele is not with the DSS”.
