The National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress(APC) on Tuesday dissolved all States, Zonal and National Structures.
The National Caretaker Committee under Yobe governor, Mai Mala Buni, survived the decision that came like a Tsunami. The committee had its life span extended by another six months.
Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, who spoke with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting disclosed that the meeting also expelled a former National Vice Chairman, South-south, Ntufam Hilliard Eta, who took the party to court over the dissolution of the Nationlal Working Committee (NWC) of the party on June 25, 2020.
The party had in late November scheduled the meeting to review its position and deliberate on its next line of action as it concerns its national leadership.
It would be recalled that this was the same way the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led NWC was dissolved on June 25 this year.
While Oshiomhole had immediately addressed a press conference to announce his acceptance of the NEC decision at the meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, Ntufam Hilliard Eta had proceeded to court to challenge the illegal dissolution of the NWC.
Oshiomhole had only on Monday, December 7, dissociated himself for the umpteenth time from the suit against the backdrop of insinuations he was surreptitiously supporting the suit.
He had declaredctgat even if he was offered the position of the APC chair again, he would not take it as he had closed thar chapter of his life even as he said he was happy with his achievements when he was in the saddle.
