The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disqualified two of the 17 presidential aspirants screened on Friday by the party’s screening committee.
The chairman of the committee, Senator David Mark, made the disqualification known in a chat with newsmen shortly after the conclusion of the exercise at the PDP National Secretariat on Friday evening.
The former Senate President, however, refused to disclose the identities of the disqualified aspirants and the reasons for their disqualification.
He noted that the aspirants did not meet the requirements.
When asked if the screening committee made any recommendation to the party to refund the N80 million nomination fees paid by the two presidential aspirants, Mark said: “Why should the party refund the money?”
