The Speaker of the Delta House of Assembly, Mr Dennis Guwor, has congratulated Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori on his third anniversary in office, commending his leadership style and developmental strides across the state.
In a statement he personally signed on behalf of members of the Assembly on Thursday in Asaba, Guwor described the governor as a dynamic leader delivering meaningful progress under the “MORE Agenda.”
The speaker expressed pride in Oborevwori’s achievements, particularly as a former Speaker, describing him as “our ambassador” and “a trailblazer.”
“We are very proud of you. You are our worthy and great ambassador as the immediate past Presiding Officer of the State House of Assembly,” he said.
Guwor also lauded the governor’s inclusive leadership, respect for democratic institutions, and cordial relationship with the legislature, noting that these had strengthened peace and stability in the state.
“Your inclusive leadership, respect for democratic institutions, and harmonious working relationship with the legislature have fostered stability and progress in the state,” he said.

He reaffirmed the Assembly’s readiness to continue partnering with the governor to deepen development and deliver more dividends of democracy to residents.
“As you mark this milestone, I reaffirm our commitment to partnering with you to deliver more dividends of democracy to residents of the state,” he added.
The speaker also pledged continued support for Oborevwori’s policies and legislative agenda aimed at advancing the state’s development,l.
He also declared support for the governor’s re-election bid, which he described as recognition of his achievements and commitment to progress.
“Gov. Oborevwori, I commend your visionary leadership and the remarkable strides recorded under the MORE Agenda of your administration in the last three years.
“You have ensured responsive governance and accelerated development across the state ,” he said.
Guwor also prayed for continued wisdom, strength and good health for the governor as he continues to lead the state.
