Cubana Chief Priest loses APC House of Reps primary election in Imo

Socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has lost the All Progressives Congress primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Okechukwu, who announced his entry into politics under the APC in recent months, said he was running to support youth empowerment and grassroots development. He purchased the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms for the seat.

His candidacy drew mixed reactions. Supporters pointed to his public profile and philanthropic work, while critics questioned his political experience and readiness for legislative duties.
