The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday night, announced 82 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-48, Rivers-8, Kwara-6, Yobe-6, Katsina-5, FCT-3, Nasarawa-2, Plateau-1, Ogun-1, Kano-1 and Osun-1.
The agency said two new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased 1,171 on Saturday to 1,173 deaths on Sunday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 236 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 63, 055 while 3,184 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Sunday included 136 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 67,412.
Total discharged cases – 63,055.
Total deaths – 1,173.
