The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday night, announced 72 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-51, FCT-6, Ogun-4, Kaduna-3, Niger-2, Ondo-2, Plateau-2, Katsina-1 and Oyo-1.
The agency said one new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,146 on Sunday to 1,147 on Monday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 538 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, while 2,561 cases were still active in the country.
The agency explained that the Monday report included 460 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines.
