The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday night, announced 56 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Kaduna had the highest record of the new cases with-18, FCT-17, Lagos-6, Plateau-5, Kano-3, Kwara-2, Yobe-2, Ekiti-1, Niger-1 and Rivers-1.
The agency said one new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,167 on Sunday to 1,168 on Monday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 165 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 62,241 while 3,030 cases were still active in the country.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 66,439.
Total discharged cases – 62,241.
Total deaths – 1,168.
