The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, announced 550 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-219, FCT-168, Kaduna-52, Kwara-19, Kano-15, Rivers-15, Sokoto-10, Enugu-9, Gombe-8, Plateau-7, Osun-7, Anambra-5, Oyo-5, Jigawa-4, Ogun-4, Bauchi-2 and Edo-1.
The agency said one new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,181 on Monday to 1,182 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 163 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 65,110 while 3,903 cases were still active in the country.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 70,195.
Total discharged cases – 65,110.
Total deaths – 1,182.
