The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Friday night, announced 170 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-106, FCT-25, Oyo-14, Edo-7, Kaduna-7, Ogun-4, Bauchi-2, Benue-2, Kano-1, Osun-1 and Rivers-1.
The agency said three new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,141 on Thursday to 1,144 on Friday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 181 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, while 3,120 cases were still active in the country.
The agency explained that discharges on Friday included 85 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines.
