COVID-19 Updates: NCDC confirms 150 new cases, two new deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, announced 150 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-89, Rivers-19, Ogun-11, Bayelsa-9, Kaduna-8, Plateau-8, Taraba-3, Osun-2 and Delta-1.

The agency said two new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,139 on Wednesday to 1,141 on Thursday.

The data from the agency disclosed that 154 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, while 3,131 cases were still active in the country.

The agency explained that discharges on Thursday included 66 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines.

Total confirmed cases in Nigeria- 62,521.
Total discharged cases- 58,249.
Total deaths- 1,141.
